TAFT BUILDING | OCEAN WEST CAPITAL PARTNERS | FLUX BRANDING
Originally opened in 1923 as Hollywood’s first high-rise office building, the Taft Building presides over the famed corner of Hollywood & Vine. Restored to its original glory under new ownership, the Taft Building needed an identity and leasing materials. The obvious choice for the identity was a hand drawn logotype to match the iconic neon sign. The decorative star references the Hollywood Walk of Fame, embedded right outside the main entrance. As a nod to the entertainment and nightlife in the area, the brochure unfolds to reveal a poster with fun facts about the building’s history. Turns out the Cobb salad was invented across the street, and Charlie Chaplin’s dentist was a former tenant.
